Let
God Be God
When
the things you hold most dear,
Seem
to fade and disappear
And
your memories only cause you grief and pain,
Just
remember God is near.
He
sees and knows your every fear.
With
His help He'll somehow turn that loss to gain.
Chorus:
Let
God be God, He'll give your life new meaning.
Let
God be God, He'll turn your night to day.
The
peace you'll know, this world cannot imagine.
With
hope renewed. God will gently lead the way.
You'll
make it through if you follow and obey.
As
you work and watch and pray
Helping
others find their way
To
eternal life in heaven's home above,
You'll
find joy beyond compare
As
you take the time to share
All
the wonders of God's great unfailing love.
Chorus:
Let
God be God, He'll give your life new meaning.
Let
God be God, He'll turn your night to day.
The
peace you'll know, this world cannot imagine.
With
hope renewed. God will gently lead the way.
You'll
make it through if you follow and obey.

Self
Pity Is Not Her Style
She sits alone
and once again
her thoughts go
back in time.
To the warmth
of a loving family
and the joys of
a special kind.
How blessed she
had felt when
the children
were home …
and her mate
was by her side,
Building
memories all those
precious years
with God
as their
heavenly guide.
Now things have
changed
the children
are grown…
with family’s
of their own,
And Ed her love
is safe and
secure in
his eternal home.
She smiles
remembering
those happy
times…
Self pity is
not her style,
Sharing
and helping others,
Is
what makes her life worthwhile.

A child is born-a baby cries
Our fondest dreams are realized.
Home is now a pure delight,
Our lives seem so complete and right.
Then one sad day the angels came
And hovered over where she lay.
Her soul took flight to realms above,
She's sheltered now in God's great
love.
Why oh why our hearts cry out,
What is this earthly life about?
How can we stand this surging pain?
Our hearts keep calling out her name!
Then Jesus came and stilled the storm
That raged within our breasts.
He gave us peace, I know not how
And then He gave us rest.
We cannot always understand
The wisdom of God's master plan,
But faith in God will help us see
He knows what's best for you and me.
